I'm back from my time-off and will have some images to share from my trip soon, but in the meantime I've been doing some catching up on my editing. Here are a few favorites from a quick session from Tennessee. We stopped by to visit one of my husband's friends from college. He and his wife just had their first child and I had to take a few pictures of the new addition. Their little baby was so cute and slept pretty much the entire time we were there. He was a perfect trooper for his first photo shoot. Enjoy! --Sally
I'll be taking this week off to spend some time with my family and to enjoy a little bit of summer. I hope to spend a lot of time pool side with a good book and some magazines. I'm also looking forward to doing some personal work with my camera. I hope to have some images to share next week. I'll still be checking voicemail and email periodically if you need to reach me. I hope this week brings you a little sunshine and relaxation too! Enjoy! Sally
Last week I met up with this cutie for his second session with me. You may remember him as my little "rock star" baby from last year. Well he's not a baby anymore and his curls are gone, but he still has those gorgeous blue eyes. He is a charmer and I had a fun time chasing him around Rosslyn! Enjoy, Sally
In July (I can't believe it is already August!!!) I met this family of six at their beach house in Maryland. We had a fantastic evening session with great light. The kids did so well. I had a great time with them and got some really fun images. Thanks for a fun evening by the beach! Enjoy, Sally
Servio wanted to encourage really good toasts so he said that he would give Jackie a kiss based on how good the toast was. This toast was a really good one. ;)
A few moments alone with the bridal party for some post-ceremony toasts.
Erin captured these last two. Love the light and emotion.
This is Jackie peeking outside right before she heads out for the ceremony.
Earlier this month I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Jackie and Servio. It had been rainy earlier that day and was threatening to storm right at the start of their wedding ceremony, but luck was in their favor and they had clear skies. Jackie and Servio are ultimate frisbee enthusiasts, (Servio proposed after one of their games) so they had a very playful and fun frisbee-theme. Their cake had figurines from their trophies and their wedding favors were custom frisbees. Many of them were in use before the night was over. Here are a few highlights from the ceremony and the preparations. Erin of Erin J. Photography shot with me and we had a great time. Jackie and Servio, it was a blast, thank you for asking me to be a part of your day. Enjoy, Sally
Their friends and family were so hilarious and fun to hang out with. This pretty much sums up the mood. Good times!!!
Couldn't resist a little fun with this sign. A frisbee made its way into our "formal" portraits. :) And a few details......
I discovered this etsy stationery shop on a design blog. I fell in love with the design and color palettes and ordered some folded notecards right away. I love the classic and elegant style. Here is a sample of Sarah's offerings:
(This is the design I ended up ordering. I'm sure I'll be getting more though! I think these would make lovely gifts.)
P.S. She also has a blog which you can check out here. Enjoy! Sally
