Merry Christmas

I just wanted to say a quick "Merry Christmas" to everyone. I know I've been neglecting my blog, but I've been busy getting ready for Christmas festivities and I promise to be a little bit better after the holidays. Later I hope to catch up on my posting with a few family sessions and a birth session. Until then I hope everyone has a very blessed holiday and will savor the season by enjoying time with family and friends. Cheers! --Sally

This Wednesday is the day....

...to get in your Christmas photo orders. After December 5th Christmas orders will be subject to a 30% rush fee. Thanks to everyone who ordered early this year. Enjoy your photos! -- Sally

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Last weekend I was in Old Town with this family for their photo session and the holiday decorations were out all over the place. It was so festive and perfect for holiday pictures. We had a lot of fun, even if it was a bit chilly. Thanks for a great session! Enjoy, --Sally

Family Session

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing three generations of this family. It was a fun day of some indoor photos and some playing outside. Thanks for a great morning! Enjoy -- Sally

The family all together...
Mom and her daughters...
This aunt has the magic soothing touch!

I love this picture!
So cute...

I gotta have some baby feet pictures.

Alexandria Family Session

It was a pretty crisp and cool day when I met up with this family, but they were adventurous enough to go outside and play. I'm so glad they did. We did a little exploring in Alexandria and found a few new favorite places for me to shoot. Thanks for a fun shoot! --Sally

We started inside while everyone was still getting ready. A little window light looks so soft and pretty.

Love those blue eyes!

I had a lot of fun with this blue wall.

Late afternoon light creates great shadows!

Happy Thanksgiving

This is from a family session I did this week in Old Town (one of my favorite venues to do portraits!). I'm taking the next few days off for Thanksgiving to enjoy the holiday with my family and take a moment to pause and think of all the things I'm thankful for this past year. Topping the list is my faith, my family, and being able to do what I love for my job. To all my clients, thank you for letting me be a part of your family memories this year!

Happy Thanksgiving, Sally

Old Town Alexandria

This family was so much fun to photograph. They indulged me with some really funky and creative shots and the end result was some fun, fresh images. We trudged through alleys, played at a city park, and hung out at the back doors of restaurants. Thanks for a great morning in Old Town! Enjoy -- Sally

One of my favorites. I love the plumber off to the left.

Love the eye contact! This gal really knows how to work the camera. (You may recognize her from my four generations shoot earlier this fall.)

Yup, he's four.

Windy Day

These were taken on a very windy Saturday down at the Jefferson Memorial. We made the best of it and had some fun too! I hope you enjoy. --sally

Peekaboo!
She may be upset, but I love that scrunched up face and her bear ears hooded coat! Too cute.

The kids kept giggling at each other. I love sibling interaction.
