Fall Family Session

The mild fall weather has blessed me with some warm temps for outdoor sessions. The day of this session was cool, but not chilly, with just a touch of fall in the air. We all enjoyed being outside and playing. I got a lot of fun shots and I had a hard time narrowing it down so there are a few more than I normally post. I hope you enjoy them! --sally

I loved her pigtails! They were so cute and matched her playful personality perfectly.

I love how she's got her tongue out, she is really concentrating on checking out her toy.

She is very much daddy's little girl.

I like to get some pics of mom and dad without the kids. Often it is the first time couples have had their portrait taken together since their wedding day.
...And a few shots with the entire family.

Family Session

I'm trying to catch up with some family sessions that I did recently. Here are some of my favorites from two weeks ago. This family will be expanding soon with a little sister due in November. Enjoy! --sally

Love these boots!

Gorgeous blue eyes!

Thirteen Months

I shot these last week. Isn't this guy a handsome fella? Enjoy! --sally

New York, New York

This past weekend I headed up to New York City for the Photo Plus Expo. It was great to spend some time chatting with vendors and researching some new products. It was also a nice mini-weekend away with my husband. It had been a few years since I had been up to the city. I love being up there and I think I'll be heading up again real soon. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend. Enjoy! --sally

A photographer's playground:

A random shot at the Jacob Javits Center.

Pizza at Grimaldi's in Brooklyn. Yum!

My French toast breakfast at Good Enough To Eat. The lines for brunch at Good Enough can be really long on the weekends. We didn't want to wait it out so we headed up a block to The Neptune Room. They were great. I had their brioche french toast and a bellini. We ended up eating at the bar and enjoyed chatting with Doug the bartender and a nice little older lady named Mrs. P. who sat next to us. The next day we headed over to Good Enough to Eat. There wasn't a line on a Monday morning and their french toast and bacon were worth the trip back.

I'd been wanting to stop at H&H for bagels for a while. We almost missed our train home while I waited in line to get mine. They were worth it--still warm. (And we caught the train home.)

Gray's Papaya is a good, cheap eat.

Random subway shot.
We stayed at the Marriott-Brooklyn Bridge. It was cheaper than staying in Manhattan and the rooms were wonderfully big and quiet. There are two different subway stops by the hotel, and it is also close to Junior's where you can get some really good cheesecake. We didn't actually make it to Junior's, but luckily for us we got some to go at the hotel bar. We also ate at a little restaurant near Times Square called The Eatery. Their hamburgers and Mac 'n Jac were excellent. Can't wait to go back and do some more exploring.
