September Wedding

Two weekends ago was an absolutely gorgeous Saturday in September. It started out looking a little cloudy, but by afternoon the clouds had parted and the sun was shining. It was pleasantly warm with no humidity. A perfect day for a wedding....

The bride's father had died from cancer about ten years ago. She had this photo incorporated into her bouquet arrangement in honor of his memory.

I love all the fussing that goes on before the ceremony.

The groom, groomsman and priest hanging out right before the ceremony.

The bride chose sunflowers as one of her main flowers for the reception. They were so festive and cheery.

A little time-out during the reception.

These were being prepped for the toasts.

My new addition

Just ask my husband, I am pretty fanatical about needing my coffee in the morning. I had been using a sad little coffee pot that had seen better days. It was missing its lid and it leaked some funky black water out the back when I would brew large pots of coffee. I saw this little beauty on sale at Starbucks this week and knew the time had come to upgrade. Now thanks to the timer I have my coffee brewed right before I get up for the day. Waking up to fresh-brewed coffee is a great way to start the day. Ah, pure bliss!

Four Generations

This past August I had a family session of four generations of women. I had so much fun and it was such an honor to document these women. Here are a few of my favorites from the session. Enjoy, --s

A day in the park...

Here is the first of two family sessions I did this past weekend.

I was getting a shot of just Mom and Dad and then someone decided to get in the shot too. I love real life moments!

I love how boys just tear up their shoes. :) Can you tell he plays hard?
This is his tough face.
